What this site stores on your device
Second Sleep uses one piece of local storage: a preference for light or dark reading mode. It's saved in your browser's localStorage, stays on your device, and is never sent to this site or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies at launch. If that changes, this page will be updated first, with a plain list of what's set and why, before anything runs.
Analytics
No analytics service runs on this site at launch. If analytics is added, this page will name the service, what it collects, and how to opt out, before it goes live.
Affiliate links
Some links go through this site's own redirect path before reaching a retailer. That redirect records that a click happened and which article it came from. It does not collect your name, email, or any other personal detail. See the affiliate disclosure.
Contact form and email
This site has no contact form. If you email hello@thesecondsleep.com, that email and your address are kept only as long as needed to answer you, then deleted.
Your rights, including UK and EU readers
You can ask what, if anything, is held about you, and ask for it to be deleted, at any time, by emailing hello@thesecondsleep.com. Given how little this site collects, most requests will have nothing to return.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects changes, this page changes first, with an updated date at the top.
